“I hate this place.” Jack wrinkled his nose.
Kerry laughed. “Then why come?”
Jack chuckled with little humor in his heart. He flicked his head in his mother’s direction. “Guilt. If I don’t, she reminds of how many dirty diapers she changed when I was a baby and how many sleepless nights she’s had for the last forty-five years.”
