You began to be irreplaceable to me long before I had ever heard of you ~ Roger Sale
I am so excited to be a part of the Power of Gay Love Valentine's Blog Hop. This time last year I had just signed my first contract for my first novel, A Place to Call Their Own. Later in the year, Disappear With Me was accepted and released in December.
The two novels couldn't be more different. A Place to Call Their Own is the happily ever after, what happens after the romance. Disappear With Me is a true romance as we follow Reverend Leander Norris with his first love, his true love, and how he handles a forbidden love situation.
I plan to write sequels to both novels. Many close friends and family members have asked me about the sequel to A Place to Call Their Own. There a few reasons I didn't sit down and start writing the sequel right away. The main reason is because it took four years to write #APTCTO. I had spent four years with Frank and Gregory and their world in 1868 that I needed a break from them and the time period. Leander's story was burning in my head and yearning to get out on the page.
Another reason I chose to stall the sequel is to develop my writing skills. I'd like the sequel to be better written than the first and that takes some time to develop. I plan to make it an epistolary tale, which means the story will be told through letters, newspaper articles, journals and other documents. It's taking me some time to research and study these documents as they would appear in the 1860s.
No matter what your take on romance, I hope readers enjoy both novels. They both come from a love of history and storytelling that's a part of me.
I have teamed up with Musa Publishing to offer a Valentine's Day Special for Disappear With Me. It is available for $1.99 (US) from now through February 21 on all platforms. Enjoy and Share!
And for stopping by and making a comment, I am giving away one copy of Disappear With Me as part of the blog hop. Enter a comment below with your name and email address by February 21. I will do the drawing and contact the winner on Saturday February 22.

Love
is greater than hope or faith, but can Reverend Leander Norris convince
a jury that the love he shares with another man is natural?
